 | Reinstein Woods
On March 22, Scouts and family members of Troop 1776 toured the
Reinstein Woods. Located in Cheektowaga, these woods consist of virgin
forest, huge trees and dozens of ponds and wetlands on 280 acres of land.
It is one of the largest virgin forests in New York State. The
attendees were treated to a look at what the WNY landscape looked like when
it was an Indian hunting ground. We are anxious to see this
again in the summer when there are leaves on the trees, lilies on Lily Pond
and no snow under our shoes. |
